CIEN FUEGOS 2019 | CASTILLA-LEON

Produced by Selección César Múñoz, Cienfuegos is a Spanish white wine made from Albarín, Verdejo and Godello. The native, recovered variety Albarín comes from 30-year-old vines located north of Valladolid. The latter ones are selected from very old vineyards planted in rocky soils on the southern border of the DO Toro.

Appearance
Clean and bright, the white wine Cienfuegos has a pale yellow colour with some golden glints.

Nose
This original Crianza white wine smells of white fruit and flowers, with a spicy touch of vanilla, cedar and cumin over an intense smoky background.

Palate
Creamy and mouth-coating, this white wine from César Muñoz balances excellently the fruit and the oak. Great acidity and long finish with white fruit underpinned by a dim mineral layer.

A surprising blend -and a highly successful one at that. Cienfuegos 2019 is rich and full of nuance.
